A small Chrome side panel for a very familiar problem. Select a request in an email, document, or webpage. Capture it, estimate the work, and create a client review link.

Download free Chrome extension ↓

Version 1.0.1 · Chrome 116+ on desktop · Manual-install beta
This download is not a Chrome Web Store listing. Store publication has not been completed.

Chrome needs the unzipped folder—not the ZIP file.
If the ZIP is greyed out or missing in “Load unpacked,” that’s normal. Unzip it first, then select the folder containing manifest.json.

Install on your computer.

  1. Download the ZIP above. On a Mac, open Finder → Downloads and double-click scope-creep-extension.zip. On Windows, right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All. This creates an ordinary folder.
  2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome. Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Load unpacked. Choose the scope-creep-extension folder in Downloads, then click Select or Select Folder. Choose the folder itself—not the ZIP and not manifest.json. If unzipping created another folder inside it, choose the inner folder that contains manifest.json.
  4. Create a free client project, signing in with Google to save it to your account (up to 3 clients free). Click Connect extension.
  5. Open the extension from Chrome’s puzzle-piece menu. Paste the connection link into Connect a project. Pin the extension if you want one-click access.
  6. Select the client’s request, right-click, and choose Price this request with Scope Creep. Review the text, add hours and days, then create and share the client review link.

Small permissions. Clear purpose.

Context menu: capture only text you explicitly select and send through the menu. Side panel: keep the tool beside your work. Local storage: remember connected project keys and the selected draft. Site access: communicate only with marklou.launchdock.cloud to retrieve your projects and create requests.

No background page scraping, browsing-history access, advertising, or AI calls. Selected text remains in the extension until you choose to create a request. Connection keys are private: anyone with one can read the project and create requests. You can revoke extension access from the website.

To update a manual installation, replace the extension folder with the new version and click Reload on its card at chrome://extensions. To uninstall, click Remove; this does not delete projects already saved on the server. Use the project page to delete those.
